What Distinguishes Sofwave 100, 200, and 300 Pulses?

The first question in a Sofwave consultation is often how many pulses to receive. However, this number counts how many times the device was pressed, not the intensity of the treatment. Comparing numbers without considering where and how much was used is meaningless. This article explains what the pulse count represents, whether there are official recommended standards, and cases where increasing the number is not the answer.

Thermage, Ultherapy Prime, and Sofwave: What's the Difference?

Energy-based lifting treatments all share the principle of "delivering heat to induce a tissue recovery response." The difference lies in which layer and in what pattern that heat is delivered. RF heats a wide volume, while focused ultrasound creates heat at specific points. Even with ultrasound, different target depths result in different treatments. Ultherapy PRIME®: When It May Be Appropriate—and When Another Approach May Be Better

Some patients considering Ultherapy PRIME® have facial volume loss in addition to, or instead of, skin laxity. Although these changes can look similar, they have different underlying causes and may require different treatment approaches. Focused ultrasound is designed to deliver controlled thermal energy to selected tissue depths and induce a gradual tissue-remodeling response. It does not replace lost facial volume. This article explains the difference between laxity and volume loss, how Ultherapy PRIME® works, and what should be considered before deciding whether the treatment is appropriate.
